Marvellous Cain - Hitman (Serial Killaz 2006 Remixes)
Marvellous Cain’s ‘The Hitman’ was one of the prototype Jungle anthems of the day. Featuring the vocals of Jamaican Dancehall don, Cutty Ranks, the original was a classic slice of Ragga Jungle. Now, a decade later, Congo Natty’s very own Serial Killaz come with two brand new mixes for 2006. On the A side you have the heavyweight 'Dancefloor Dub Mix', crashing amen drums, dark bleeps and fx and a crushing 808 bassline all going towards making this a dark and dirty interpretation of this classic tune. On the flip, the boys turn out a more dancefloor friendly mix, complete with grizzly, twisted bass riff and rolling breaks. Both mixes have been getting some serious attention on dub and have received support from DJ Hype (Kiss FM), Kenny Ken, Darren Jay, Sappo (BBC 1Xtra), Phantasy, Ash-A-Tak, and many many more.
