Label owner BCee's 'Heartache' was an instant hit on drum & bass dancefloors just a few months ago, and now it gets yet another lease of life with fresh remixes from Radio 1 favourite Matrix and BBC 1Xtra's Crissy Criss. Matrix heads up with his signature house-influenced sound. Echoed synth lines blend with the minimal beats perfectly and Ad-Apt's vocals slip and slide through the mix like finest champagne down your throat. Progressive and incredibly powerful, this remix takes an already great track and gives it a mild turbo injection for the dancefloor. In complete contrast Crissy Criss coaxes a crisp dubstep rework out of 'Heartache'. Coming correct like the bastard son of Skream and Faithless, Crissy's remix has a surprisingly laid back overtone which somehow still manages to pack a punch.
